Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Services Description
PD Legal Services provides document filing and process service for California courts. Our services include Small Claims Filing, Supreme/Superior Court Filing, California Small Claims Appearance (subject to eligibility), and Process Service. We are a document filing and process service company. We are not a law firm.
2. Not a Law Firm — No Legal Advice
PD Legal Services is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Nothing on this website or in any communication from PD Legal Services constitutes legal advice. Use of our services does not create an attorney-client relationship. For legal advice, please consult a licensed California attorney.
3. Payment Terms
All service fees are due at the time of order submission. Fees are as follows: Small Claims Filing — $200; Supreme/Superior Court Filing — $500; California Small Claims Appearance — $200 (subject to eligibility); Process Service — $150 per service address. Court filing fees are set by the court and are separate from our service fees. Court fees are the customer's responsibility.
4. All Sales Final
All sales are final. Service fees are nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law. Once a process server is assigned, travels to a service address, or makes an attempt at service, the $150 process service fee for that address is nonrefundable — regardless of whether service was successful or whether the address was correct. A corrected or different service address requires a new $150 service order.
5. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including all service addresses. PD Legal Services is not responsible for errors, delays, or failed service resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer. For business parties, the customer is responsible for verifying the legal business name, registered agent, and registered agent address through the applicable Secretary of State's official business database.
6. No Guarantee of Outcome
PD Legal Services does not guarantee court acceptance of any filed document, successful service of process, or any legal outcome. Courts may reject documents for any reason. Service of process may be unsuccessful for reasons beyond our control.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PD Legal Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
